Dermoids are benign tumors occasionally found in the orbit. As these tumors enlarge, they become cosmetically unacceptable or may push the eye off in a certain direction. Furthermore, if the dermoid ruptures, it can create severe inflammation in the surrounding tissue. Management usually requires diagnostic evaluation and surgical removal.
